My father was in the artillery 2nd division of the 8th Army. I found Nigel's page very informative. I will look out for his books.
Many thanks for the comment Philip. We are hoping to have chapters of Nigel's book downloadable from this site in the next couple of months for anyone interested.

Very useful information and I am sure Nigel mwas a great individual and I share his passion in History as a keen collector. Well done, good work.
Nigel was a great chap Neil, and loved his history. My guess would be that you will find a lot of that over in China..

First my condolences at the passing of Nigel. He must have been a very dedicated individual.
I am researching the battle of Kohima and am very keen to get my hands on any info possible. My wife is from Kohima hence the interest.
In return for a donation to your nominated charity, would it be possible to obtain a copy of Nigel's book on Kohima ?
Thank you very much
Colin
Thank you for your kind comments Colin, regarding Nigel's book, please look to your e-mail for more information.

It is with great sadness that I place the following information on Nigel's website guestbook. I learned last night that Nigel's father had passed away. He, and Nigel's late mum Pat, had always supported and encouraged Nigel in all his endeavours and he took Nigel's death extremely hard, as might be imagined. I personally new him as a friend for many years, and will miss our many chats together. Rest in peace Eddie.

Many thanks for your message to Nigel's site Keith. Nigel spoke of you many times when we used to meet over at Croft Cottage, and always with pride. His knowledge of matters military was indeed vast and comprehensive, and his friendship is greatly missed. We had always meant to get a site up for him, his passing just made this more important, and thanks to Alexis's knowledge and time, we created something I hope he would have liked.
